Wheat & gluten free Doves Farm Nice & Nutty Cookies review

No preparation was needed apart from opening the packet and tucking in. The initial reaction was that the cookies looked very appetising, but there were only 9 in the packet, and they are not large cookies.

The cookies had a nice, crisp texture, and broke with a snap, which we liked, because too many wheat & gluten free biscuits are either a bit on the 'soggy' side, teeth shatteringly hard, or crumble into powder at the first bite.

The subtle taste of orange was very pleasant, and they had a really nutty taste, as well as nutty pieces in the cookie for added texture. We also found that they were not over sweet, which we thought was a real plus point. But on the negative side, they were a bit too moreish and it was difficult to stop eating them, and with only 9 in the packet it doesn't take long to end up with an empty wrapper.

We liked these cookies and couldn't really fault their taste, smell or look, but felt cheated by having so few in the packet which is why we deducted a couple of points from the final total.

The cookies are packaged in a bright, attractive wrapper which catches the eye on the shelf, however the packaging is soft, which means that the cookies, are at risk of becoming cookie crumbs on the way home from shopping if you don't put them somewhere where they won't get squashed.
