16 May marks the beginning of Coeliac Awareness Week in the UK. As part of this week, five experts have volunteered to provide vital advice to help increase diagnosis of Coeliac Disease in the UK. Currently 1 in 100 people in the UK are believed to suffer from Coeliac disease, with only one third of these actually diagnosed. (What is Coeliac disease?)

In conjunction with Coeliac UK, the major wheat and gluten free food manufacturer Dietary Specials have enlisted the help of health and nutrition experts to provide specialist advice during this week.

Question and answer sessions will run daily from 2-4pm and anyone interested in taking part or learning more about Coeliac disease and living with it can join the interactive web chat at www.dietaryspecials.co.uk. Dietary Specials' Careline 07041 544044 will also be available throughout the week, where the team can help with any other dietary questions.

People can log their questions to be considered for the forum during the week at www.dietaryspecials.co.uk, and more information on Coeliac disease can also be found at www.coeliac.co.uk.
