The Food Standards Agency is warning people with allergies to wheat, milk and mustard not to eat certain packs of ready salted French Fries as some packets have incorrectly been filled with cheese and onion flavoured french fries.

The bags of French Fries involved are sold individually and it is possible that up to 11,000 incorrectly labelled packets are in circulation. Some people suffering with wheat, milk or mustard allergies may have a severe reaction to the cheese and onion flavouring including a possible anaphylactic reaction. Walkers have also taken the precaution of notifying the Anaphylaxis Campaign of this error so that they can directly inform their members.

Walkers have not been able to confirm where the packets have been distributed however it is most likely that they will be found in small retail outlets, pubs and vending services.
